How Pre-Marital Counseling Works:

I offer specialized pre-marital counseling services/packages tailored to meet the unique needs of each couple. I help create a safe and non-judgmental space where couples can openly discuss their expectations, concerns, and dreams for the future. Through evidence-based therapeutic techniques and personalized attention, I assist couples in navigating potential areas of conflict and promoting a deeper understanding of one another.
During pre-marital counseling sessions, I facilitate constructive conversations around key aspects of married life. Topics such as communication styles, conflict resolution, financial management, shared values and goals, intimacy, and decision-making are explored in depth. Couples are encouraged to explore their individual backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences that may influence their relationship dynamics.
I utilize effective tools and exercises through the renowned Prepare/Enrich program to help couples enhance their communication skills and develop a deeper emotional connection. I help provide valuable insights into the dynamics of healthy relationships and assist couples in recognizing and addressing potential pitfalls. By fostering open dialogue and teaching active listening techniques, I empower couples to express their needs, desires, and concerns with compassion and respect.

Pre-Marital Counseling Services I Offer:

Pre-Marital Counseling services consist of either 6 or 8 total sessions (sessions are 50 minutes long); each week covers a different topic, and there is an activity book that helps you work through your concerns and struggles. In addition to listening, I will ask questions and provide tools and hands-on exercises.

Pre-Marital sessions are separated into 2 convenient packages, of either 6 or 8 sessions. (Both packages utilize all components of the Prepare/Enrich program).

6- Session Package: If you are either short on time before your upcoming nuptials, or you just want the "meat and potatoes" of the program, I recommend this option. This package covers all the important topics (Finances, Communication, Conflict, etc), though we just may not go over them in full depth.
8- Session Package: If you have more time to spare before your nuptials, or also want to cover more/all topics in depth, this is the option I recommend. We cover all topics more thoroughly, as well as any tailored add-on topics the assessment may give you (such as Physical Health, Co-parenting, etc).

Materials Included In All Packages:

A personalized, digital Assessment for each partner from the Prepare/Enrich program (you will each receive a digital copy once completed).
A "Workbook for Couples" from Prepare/Enrich that includes activities and tools for couples to practice as homework or during sessions. These can be personalized with any faith-based approaches if desired! (Workbook copies are digital by default; if paper workbooks are requested, an additional $10 fee will incur to cover shipping costs)
Additional tools/handouts the facilitator my add to supplement your counseling needs.
A parting gift package that will be mailed to you after the last appointment is completed.
