Therapy for
Anxiety

Helping people discover ways to manage whatever life throws at them.

Do You Feel Stressed, Worried, Overwhelmed?

Do any of the following resonate with you?

  • You are in a constant state of panic and it rules your life.

  • You feel fear stricken, even in the "comfort" of your own home.

  • You feel like you're living at a frenzied pace leaving you frazzled and stressed.

  • You feel like there are so many things to manage and your forever growing "to do list" leaves you feeling completely overwhelmed.

If these sound true for you, I want you to know that you're not "crazy." And even though you might feel alone in your struggle, what you are going through is common and it's okay to ask for help. It's not selfish to prioritize caring for yourself. You don't have to always prioritize others' needs over your own needs.

Even if you are not sure if your problem is serious enough, Anxiety Counseling may be able to help. I’ve helped people struggling with constant worry find their way to feeling more calm without having to give up what matters most. My clients discover that it's possible to be productive without living life and doing work at a frenzied pace.

How Anxiety Counseling Works

  1. The therapy process begins with an initial consultation, during which you'll have the opportunity to share your experiences, symptoms, and goals with me. I will actively listen and ask targeted questions to gain a full understanding of your anxiety and its underlying causes. Together we will develop a tailored treatment plan that aligns with your unique struggles and goals.

  2. Drawing from a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, I employ various techniques to address anxiety effectively. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) forms the foundation of my approach, focusing on identifying and restructuring negative thought patterns that contribute to anxiety. Through CBT and other techniques, you'll learn practical strategies to challenge distorted thinking, develop coping skills, and manage anxiety symptoms effectively.

  3. I also utilize Mindfulness-based techniques to enhance self-awareness and help you cultivate a more present-centered and accepting mindset. By learning to observe your thoughts and emotions without judgment, you can gain greater control over your anxiety responses and reduce the impact of anxious thoughts.

  4. During the course of therapy sessions, I will provide a supportive and non-judgmental space for you to explore and process your emotions. I will guide you in developing healthy coping mechanisms and teach relaxation techniques to manage stress and anxiety effectively. Additionally, I may offer practical advice on lifestyle modifications, such as improving sleep hygiene, engaging in regular physical exercise, and adopting stress-management techniques.

  5. As therapy progresses, we will monitor your progress closely, adjusting the treatment plan as needed to ensure your needs are met. Ultimately, the goal is to empower you with the knowledge and skills necessary to break free from the grips of anxiety and lead a more fulfilling life.
